Held on Saturday 10th February 2018
During 2017, we had a fantastic start to our investigations into the archaeology and history of Thornton le Street and the surrounding area. Over 70 people attended our 2018 launch. We had an interesting and informative day. Thank you to everyone that attended and who made the day such a success. Particular thanks to our specialists who were on hand: Margaret from the Records Office, Spencer – lithics, Chris – pottery and John – animal bones. Season 2018 will continue with survey work, fieldwalking, archival research, test-pitting and a two-week excavation. We will also have training workshops and site visits. Keep checking back regularly for updates.
